The Delivery Bear

Actually, these tree beargirls are quite funny when they’re together. They must be the female bear versions of the three stooges! Stoogettes. Yes, that’s it. I love them anyway. Okay, now, shoo! I need to fix my makeup…

Dot is a tiny little girl of only 20 cm tall.

Laila, Mimi and Dot are those slender girls you have to shoo away when you want to use that mirror on the dresser. Where’s my lipstick? Oh those girls are so vain!

Laila is about 39 cm tall and is wearing a really chique dress, with a fluffy fur collar and a fancy flower aplicated vest.

Mimi is a cute bear (not articulated), made of brown velvet. She wears a lovely lacy dress and a matching hairribbon.

She is about 32  cm tall.

A soft blue. Low-hanging clouds, nose in the humid and chilly sea-breeze. In the house, an old and heavy wood-burning heater with a kettle of warm pea-soup on top. Wherever she goes, Willemijn will always remember she’s a dutch girl….

Willemijn is made of old yellow mohair with old blue embroided pads and inside ears. She is wearing her old blue “twin set”, dress and matching vest.

She is about 44 cm tall

Most of the time Cherry is dressed in cherry-coloured clothes. She’s very fond of all those cherry-fuchsia and orange red colours and she knows it suits her very well, because of the teint of her skin. And to be honest….she is a pretty bear, isn’t she ?

A regular, if a bit posh, bear-girl. Well-dressed and mannered. Who wouldn’t like this little lady. But “Freddie”, isn’t that a boy’s name?
I guess a little explanation would be appropriate. A while ago, she was chatting and laughing with some bear-boys. One of the boys suddenly noticed her furry collar. The other boys figured it had to be real fur and started joking about it. They imagined it was her pet mouse Freddy’s little white coat. Oh dear! That was rude! She started to boil in anger, but smart as she is, quickly cooled down again. You know, boys will stay boys and she laughed with them.  The name stuck, they still call her Freddy, but she doesn’t mind. She even likes the humor in it.

Freddie is about 39 cm tall.

Sometimes you stumble upon one of those priceless treasures. The moment you look at it, you know it’s going to change you.

It happened to Mabel, she was cleaning up the attic when, suddenly, she saw that big and dusty old suitcase. It was as if it was looking at her, saying: “Open me! Open me!”
It was filled to the brim with her granny’s lace collection she had been expanding since she was just a girl.
Mabel was rich!
Immediately she started draping the stuff all over her body, layer upon layer of nostalgia-loaded fabric, until she could barely carry herself downstairs.
And that’s kind of where this story ends; the suitcase is now empty, she still wears it all. And, boy, does she love it! (She’s pretty sure you like it too)

Anyway, I’m going a little off-track here. The real reason I’m posting is of course not only to wish you a very comfortable Christmas with your friends and family, but especially to wish for you to have a beartastic 2012!
